Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor to deliver high-touch,VIP-level servicing to client travelers. You will leverage extensive GDS skills and destination knowledge to arrange international and domestic travel and fulfill special requests.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage complex workflows in a fast-changing environment, while upholding the highest integrity with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of VIP corporate travel counselor experience.
• Bilingual English/ French or English/Spanish.
• Strong international reservations experience.
• GDS experience required; Sabre experience a must.
• Knowledge of POS tools including SBP, Quick Exchange, Salesforce.
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to manage change in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to manage workflow in a highly complex environment.
• Highest integrity when dealing with internal & external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized servicing to client travelers with high-touch service.

As an American Express Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor, this person will provide a specialized servicing to client travelers that will require high touch service. The Travel Counselor should be prepared to offer a unique level of service, outstanding GDS skills, as well as vast destination knowledge. This Travel Counselor will be accountable for both individual goals, as well as shared team goals, and will be responsible for providing customer service and accurate completion of both international, domestic travel arrangements, and special requests.

Requirements

• Must have at least 5+ years of VIP corporate travel counselor experience.
• Bi-Lingual English/French or English/Spanish
• Strong international reservations experience.
• Knowledge GDS experience is required, Sabre experience is a must
• Knowledge of American Express Point of Sales (POS) tools; including but not limited to SBP, Quick Exchange, Salesforce.
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong organizational and ability to multitask.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage change effectively.
• Ability to manage workflow in a highly complex & fast changing environment.
• Displays highest level of integrity when dealing with internal & external customers.

Salary

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$46,200.00 - $85,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
