Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking an Experienced Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor to deliver high-touch service for VIP travelers across domestic and international bookings. The role requires strong GDS Sabre skills, extensive destination knowledge, and bilingual abilities.

You will handle complex itineraries, manage diverse client needs, and contribute to team goals while upholding the highest standard of integrity and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5+ years of VIP corporate travel counselor experience.
• Bi-Lingual English/French or English/Spanish.
• Strong international reservations experience.
• Knowledge GDS experience is required, Sabre experience is a must.
• Knowledge of American Express POS tools; including but not limited to SBP, Quick Exchange, Salesforce.
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong organizational and ability to multitask.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage change effectively.
• Ability to manage workflow in a highly complex & fast changing environment.
• Displays highest level of integrity when dealing with internal & external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized servicing to client travelers with high touch service and attention to detail.
• Be accountable for both individual goals and shared team goals.
• Provide customer service and accurate completion of international, domestic travel arrangements, and special requests.
• Maintain knowledge of travel destinations, policies, and tools to optimize bookings.

As an American Express Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor, this person will provide a specialized servicing to client travelers that will require high touch service. The Travel Counselor should be prepared to offer a unique level of service, outstanding GDS skills, as well as vast destination knowledge. This Travel Counselor will be accountable for both individual goals, as well as shared team goals, and will be responsible for providing customer service and accurate completion of both international, domestic travel arrangements, and special requests.

The Ideal Corporate Travel Counselor will have the following:

• Must have at least 5+ years of VIP corporate travel counselor experience.

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$46,200.00 - $85,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
