Job summary

Beyond EQT Real Estate Development Ltd (Cyprus) seeks a Group Finance Manager to build and run a multinational finance function remotely. You will establish processes across entities, coordinate with external accountants, and design the monthly reporting pack for founder review.

This is a hands-on, build-role with potential to lead a team. You bring 5–12 years in finance across multiple tax regimes and entities, with ACCA or CIMA finalists welcome.

Qualifications

• Must have led finance for a small in-house team (≤6 people).
• Strong commercial judgement: verify cost coverage before processing invoices.
• Tenacious in pursuing communications with counterparties.
• Excellent written English; proficient with AI tools for automation and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own all cross-border accounting for multiple entities.
• Manage external accountants and advisers, including fees and deliverables.
• Design and implement the chart of accounts and monthly reporting pack.
• Oversee banking relationships across jurisdictions.
• Hire and manage the first direct report by month three; drive asset disposals and wind-downs.

Job description

Beyond EQT Real Estate Development Ltd (Cyprus) is hiring on behalf of the group it belongs to.

The group operates in real estate development and contracting, software development and business intelligence, and a private investment holding. Entities in four countries, with a fifth being incorporated.

This is a build role, not an oversight role. If you have run a finance department of fifteen people, this will feel like a step backwards. There is no working finance function today. External accountants file in each country, and the founder handles the rest himself. You build it, and you grow into running it.

The founder has real working knowledge of cross-border structuring and international tax, and will make time to teach someone who earns it. That is the point of this role. You take the title of Group Finance Manager when you have earned it, not on day one.

YOU BUILD :

• The obligations calendar across every entity. External accountants file in each country, you brief them, check their work and make sure nothing is late. New entities, you set up the process.
• The working relationship with external accountants and advisers, including their fees.
• The accounting system, chart of accounts, and one monthly reporting pack the founder can decide from.
• Banking relationships across jurisdictions.
• Your first direct report, whom you hire and manage from month three.

You also take on a stalled backlog of asset disposals and wind-downs in several countries: chase, escalate, close.

YOU NEED :

• To have been the sole finance person, the number two, or the head in an in-house finance team of six or fewer.
• A small company background. A career spent entirely in large organisations will not translate.
• 5 to 12 years in finance or accounting, across more than one entity and more than one tax regime.
• Commercial judgement. When an invoice looks expensive, you find out what it covers before processing it.
• The persistence to make the fourth contact with a counterparty who is ignoring you.
• Precise written English, and real fluency with AI tools.
• ACCA and CIMA finalists and the recently qualified are welcome. A qualification helps but is not required.
