Job summary

Alternative Community Resource Program, Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Technician - Group ABA (BHT - EIABA) to provide ABA-based interventions for children aged 3-6 in a structured group setting.

You will help develop social, emotional, and behavioral skills with an emphasis on communication, play, self-help, and potty training. Each BHT-EI-ABA manages a trio of children, implementing individualized ABA strategies to boost independence, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and build school readiness.

Qualifications

• BCaBA, RBT, BCAT, or equivalent ABA certification.
• High school diploma with 40-hour RBT training.
• Minimum 2 years ABA experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to collect data and maintain clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to program policies and agency policy.
• Attend and participate in supervision and training sessions.
• Build positive relationships with teachers and staff in schools and programs.
• Collaborate with leadership in monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with other treatment providers and behavior specialists.
• Collect data as requested in the treatment plan and ensure meaningful data collection.
• Complete progress reports and required paperwork within deadlines.
• Prepare and submit reports to Childline and other agencies as needed.
• Contribute to the child’s treatment and crisis plans.
• Engage child and family in community activities per the treatment plan.
• Engage families with reflective listening and cultural sensitivity.
• Engage parents to transfer skills and foster positive relations.
• Engage teachers and staff in interventions and utilize their input.
• Deliver targeted interventions during each session.
• Maintain scheduled appointments with family and child.
• Keep records meeting clinical documentation requirements.
• Utilize services as per written order for each client.
• Provide effective one-on-one interventions and communicate with supervisors as needed.
• Request assistance if interventions are unclear.
• Respect institutional rules and policies.
• Show initiative in therapeutic activities.
• Teach child and family specific skills and competencies.
• Transport the child and family when appropriate.
