Job summary

Barrick Mining Corporation is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operations Project Manager to lead groundwater treatment operations at the Grants closure site. The role will oversee day-to-day activities, plan and execute closure projects, and collaborate with site staff to prepare for milestone reclamation tasks.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mining or related industries, strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team across engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.
• Greater than 5 years of experience in mining, construction, or consulting.
• Project management across groundwater operations, reclamation, and decommissioning.
• Excellent oral and written communication with internal and external contacts.
• Knowledge of regulatory constraints related to radioactive material is a plus.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering pertaining to tailings facilities monitoring is a plus.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours when needed.
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team of peers and junior staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day groundwater treatment operations, including supervision of RO Operator hourly staff.
• Collaborate on projects pertaining to groundwater treatment, site reclamation, engineering, construction, reclamation and decommissioning work including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure ongoing communication with site personnel to optimize shared objectives.
• Prepare technical reports to support groundwater reclamation activities based on data, costs, and safety considerations.
• Manage preparation and administration of consultant and contractor contracts.
• Liaise with TSF Engineer of Record to ensure stability of onsite tailings facilities.
• Organize and schedule water watch call-out activities.
