Lewis Tree Service in New Jersey is seeking a Groundperson to support vegetation management for utility partners and customers. You will assist tree crews, clear vegetation around power lines, operate chainsaws, chippers, sprayers, and related equipment, and closely follow safety protocols.

CDL preferred; CPR/First Aid and herbicide certification encouraged. The role requires outdoor work in all weather, frequent travel, and a team-focused attitude with strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Groundperson certification (or ability to complete).
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to hike, lift 50 lbs., and handle tools.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• CPR/First Aid certification and herbicide applicator certification (or ability to complete).

Responsabilités

• Clear vegetation and debris from work sites around power lines.
• Operate and maintain tools like chainsaws, chippers, blowers, and sprayers.
• Assist climbers from the ground and with rigging and towing tasks.
• Set up traffic control zones and direct traffic when needed.
• Travel frequently to different job sites and participate in safety briefings.
