Job summary

Ashley Management Corporation is seeking a Part-Time Groundsperson for an apartment complex in Rochester, NY. The 32-hour workweek runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, year-round for a stable, non-seasonal position.

Responsibilities include weeding, leaf cleanup, winter shoveling/salting, light furniture/appliance moving, dumpsters/basements cleaning, and adhering to MSDS, OSHA, and DEC guidelines. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must have prior general grounds experience and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Must be reliable, dedicated, and trustworthy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A Valid driver's license and dependable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Shoveling/Salting in the winter months. Extended working hours should be anticipated to meet seasonal issues.
• Small amount of furniture and appliance moving as necessary.
• Clean areas around Dumpsters and in Basements.
• Pulling/removing old carpets and sweeping after.
• Understand MSDS sheets and safe work practices.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and DEC requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
