Job summary

Accokeek Arborist in Accokeek, MD is seeking a dependable Groundsperson to join our tree-care team for part-time, hands-on work alongside our climbers and crew members to safely and efficiently complete residential and commercial tree-care projects outdoors.

Ideal candidates are hardworking, safety-minded, and ready to learn professional tree-care techniques. Prior experience is helpful but not required; a valid driver’s license is preferred. Compensation ranges from $18 to $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist tree climbers and crew members with daily tree-care operations.
• Feed brush and limbs into the wood chipper safely and efficiently.
• Drag, stack, and organize branches, logs, and other debris.
• Assist with tree pruning, removals, trimming, and storm cleanup.
• Set up and maintain safe work zones around job sites.
• Assist with ropes and ground-based rigging as directed.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials.
• Keep work trucks, equipment, and job sites clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
• Perform other ground-crew duties as needed.
