JM Arbor Care in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a Climbing Arborist to maintain and enhance tree health and safety above ground. The role requires climbing with ropes and harnesses to access high areas for pruning, removal, and cabling, using bucket trucks when needed.

Qualifications

• Growing experience in arboriculture or related fields preferred.
• Prior experience with tree care practices such as trimming, pruning, cabling, or removals desirable.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques used in tree work for safe lowering of large limbs.
• Experience operating bucket trucks or similar aerial lift equipment demonstrates proficiency.
• Strong understanding of landscape maintenance principles including lawn care and horticulture.
• Certification in arboriculture advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses and gear to access elevated areas for pruning or removal.
• Perform trimming, pruning, cabling, bracing and removal with precision to promote tree health and safety.
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment to reach high branches efficiently.
• Conduct rigging operations to lower large limbs or sections during removals or pruning.
• Assist with landscaping tasks such as lawn care and planting to support site aesthetics.
• Maintain equipment (chainsaws, rigging gear, bucket trucks, safety gear) to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently while working at heights or with heavy machinery.

Experience
