Concrete West Construction, Inc. in Southern California is seeking a Groundsman/Laborer Level 1 to support installation crews by keeping the jobsite safe, clean, and organized.

You’ll assist with material and tool prep, protect tenant property, and help with daily housekeeping. The role also acts as a spotter, sets up safety controls, and identifies hazards while supporting installers during daily operations.

Qualificações

• Entry-level position; prior construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience around construction equipment, ladders, lifts, or power tools is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure personal and team safety.
• Set up and maintain safe work zones using cones, tape, and other controls.
• Watch teammates and communicate with call-outs and hand signals.
• Serve as spotter for installers when equipment or materials are moved.
• Keep work areas safe, clean, and free of hazards throughout the day.
• Wear PPE and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Demonstrate teamwork and cooperate with installers and crew.
• Maintain professional workspace in tenant-occupied spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop to prevent debris buildup.
• Protect tenant spaces by covering materials and using floor protection.
• Prepare materials and ensure hardware is available for tasks.
• Prepare materials prior to installation, including cutting threaded rod and lumber.
• Prepare steel components and assist with painting when needed.
• Stock installers’ carts with proper tools and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Notify Foreman of damaged tools and arrange repairs.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
