Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts in Denver is seeking an experienced Tree Care Groundsman to join our professional crew. This hands-on entry-to-early-career role supports removal, pruning, stump grinding, and chipping operations while you learn the trade and grow with a safety-forward team.

You will assist with equipment, maintain safety, communicate with crew and the public, and contribute to daily operations with reliability and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in Tree Care Operations.
• Valid driver's license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to work 40 hours or more each week.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Will ingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
• First Aid and CPR Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew with equipment and vehicle preparation daily.
• Ensure that drop zones are safe for coworkers and public.
• Perform pruning and reducing.
• Safely use tree care operations equipment included but not limited to gas powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers.
• Load and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush and debris.
• Reports to work on time each day.
• Follow directions from crew leaders and climbers.
• Maintain professional image.
• Provide friendly and excellent customer service.
• Maintain and service equipment, as needed.
• Follows safety culture and safety procedures.
• Set up safety and traffic control measures for job sites.

Grow with us! Joshua Tree Experts in Denver is a premier team of tree care professionals, is searching for an experienced Tree Care Groundsman.

The Groundsman works alongside a 2 to 4-person tree crew assisting in tree removal, tree pruning, stump grinding and wood chipper operations. They are responsible for all communication with crew members and the public while climbers are aloft in trees or aerial lift trucks.

Groundsmen are essential to how our crews function day to day. This is a hands-on entry-to-early-career role for someone who wants to learn the trade, work hard, and grow within a professional tree care team.

What a Tree Care Groundsman Does
