Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to keep outdoor spaces in top condition at facilities across Maryland and Virginia. You will perform lawn and shrub care, operate mowers, and help manage irrigation systems.

Ideal candidates have two years of grounds maintenance experience and the ability to work in varying weather. The role involves physically demanding tasks and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have two (2) years' Grounds Maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides used in grounds care.
• Skilled in operating grounds maintenance equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shrubs, trees, lawns, planting areas, and sprinkler systems.
• Operate large power mowers, hand tools, and vehicles for grounds activities.
• Coordinate irrigation and watering in the assigned area.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs as required.
• Shovel snow and ice from roofs, sidewalks, entryways as required.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for maintenance of shrubs, trees, lawns, planting areas, sprinkler systems, and area watering lines.
• Operates large power and field mowers, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities.
• Schedules and coordinates irrigation and watering activities as required in assigned area.
• Trims and prunes a variety of trees and shrubs as required.
• Shovels and removes snow and ice from designated areas such as roofs, sidewalks, and entryways as required.
• Performs minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must have two (2) years' Grounds Maintenance experience.
• Must have knowledge of equipment, tools, and procedures of grounds construction and care.
• Must have Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides used in grounds care and gardening.
• Must be skilled in operating grounds maintenance and grounds construction equipment and tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Working conditions include dirty environment, extreme temperatures, lifts or carries heavy objects.
