Job summary

29th Street Property Management is hiring a Groundskeeper in Houston to maintain grounds, amenities, exteriors and leasing offices across multifamily properties. You will keep areas clean, perform make-ready duties on vacant units, and support the maintenance team daily.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of groundskeeping experience, a valid driver’s license, and a careful, team-oriented approach to safety and curb appeal.

Responsibilities

• Meticulously maintains curb appeal and upkeep of grounds, amenities, buildings and parking areas.
• Remove trash from office areas and community perimeter daily.
• Assist in making units market-ready by removing trash in vacant units prior to turnover.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager with assigned tasks.
• Assist in cleaning vacant apartments and models; participate in snow removal if needed.

Summary Of Position

The Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential apartments.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
• Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments prior to make-ready.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager with assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Assist in the cleaning of vacant apartments and/or models.
• Assist Maintenance team with snow removal (if applicable).
• Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Meticulously maintains curb appeal.
• Assist management team with other various tasks required.
• Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
• Learns and ensures compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
