We are hiring immediately for seasonal GROUNDSKEEPER positions.

Location: Muncie Community Schools - 2501 North Oakwood Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304. (Openings at other locations within the school district available). Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Seasonal schedules, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 1:00 pm; more details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous experience with mowing and trimming is preferred but not required.

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Plans and administers a program of grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and propagation through plants and cuttings. Responsible for tasks related to grass and plant care, trimming, pruning, removing scrubs, bushes, and trees. Performs general janitorial duties, property inspections, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Inspects common areas and grounds; reports deficiencies.
• Mows lawns weekly during the appropriate season; cleans tools after use.
• Trims bushes and maintains flowerbeds.
• Shovels walkways during winter and salts or sands icy areas.
• Contributes to team efforts, maintains professionalism.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license required.
