Sherman Associates is seeking a Groundskeeper for Rumely Lofts and The Randolph in Des Moines, IA. This full-time, on-site role supports caretaking, facilities maintenance, and property management tasks across two historic apartment buildings.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with potential on-call rotations. Candidates should have custodial experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to resident service and safety.

Competenze

• 1-3 years of experience in custodial or janitorial work, ideally in residential or commercial real estate.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and across teams.
• Demonstrates a passion for Sherman Associates' mission and values.

Mansioni

• Maintain exterior grounds and interior common areas in clean, presentable condition.
• Assist maintenance with preparing vacated units and performing preventive maintenance.
• Support property management by coordinating inspections and ensuring resident relations are positive.
• Follow safety regulations and assist with on-call rotations as needed.
