Job summary

Kendal at Oberlin is a full-service life plan community serving older adults in the Quaker tradition, offering healthcare and independent living options. We seek a PRN Groundskeeper to support landscaping, grounds, roads, walkways, trash removal, recycling and equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities include operating grounds equipment, mowing and planting, pressure washing, snow and ice removal, and acting as relief for security and transportation teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid operator's license and insurability with Kendal's insurance carrier.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to walk long distances, dig, shovel, climb, bend, push, stoop, pull, crawl, lift and carry heavy weights and operate grounds power equipment.
• Significant experience with snow & ice control and removal.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, use and maintain yard tools and grounds power equipment.
• Maintain plants and grounds through mowing, trimming, planting, seeding, fertilizing, weeding and irrigation.
• Assist with pressure washing, mulching, mowing, weeding and leaf clean up.
• Maintain clear roads and walkways of ice and snow by plowing, operating snow blowers, shoveling and spreading salt & ice melt.
• Serve as primary relief for evening, night and weekend Security/Watch staff.
• Serve as primary relief for Transportation Staff.

We are seeking a PRN (as needed) Groundskeeper to assist with day-to-day maintenance of landscaping, grounds, roads, walkways, trash removal, recycling and equipment maintenance.
