Job summary

Kendal at Oberlin is seeking a Housekeeper for a 32 hr/wk float position in our Nursing Care Center, located in Oberlin, OH. The role promotes safe, sanitary and homelike conditions, reporting to Environmental Operations Manager. Schedule includes 7:30am-4:00pm alongside weekends as listed.

The candidate must have housekeeping experience, be comfortable with all ages, and perform duties across rooms and common areas to support residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to understand written and oral communications.
• MUST HAVE HOUSEKEEPING EXPERIENCE.
• Prior housekeeping experience in a health care center highly preferred.
• Detail oriented with a basic knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment and cleaning/operating techniques.
• Must have a pleasant personality capable of contending with all people in a cooperative, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Dusting (high and low).
• Wet and dry mopping floors.
• Washing windows, walls, counters, doors and baseboards.
• Disinfecting and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens.
• Stripping, waxing and buffing floors.
• Stripping and redressing beds.

Kendal at Oberlin's Environmental Services Team is currently seeking a Housekeeper for a 32 hr/wk 7:30a-4:00pm Float position in our Nursing Care Center. (Schedule: Sun, Mon, Tues, Fri/ Tues, Wed, Thu, Fri).The Housekeeper will promote quality of life and wellness by ensuring continued safe, sanitary and homelike conditions in the Care Center and Community Center. Reporting to the Environmental Operations Manager, the Housekeeper must be capable of working with people of all ages and races, having direct contact with staff, residents, guests, as well as supervisory and administrative positions. This role will have the responsibility for including but not limited to:
