Job summary

The Lewis Group of Companies is seeking a Groundskeeper for Independence in Dixon. You will maintain community grounds, perform custodial duties, and support maintenance teams to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Reliable, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Previous groundskeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work outdoors and perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to work weekends (days off: Thursday and Friday)
• Valid driver’s license preferred; background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community grounds including walkways, parking lots, and common areas.
• Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, blowing, pressure washing, and trash removal.
• Clean outdoor furniture, fixtures, and maintenance areas.
• Report safety concerns or maintenance needs to the appropriate team members.
• Provide courteous, helpful customer service to residents and guests.
• Support the maintenance team with additional tasks as needed.
