Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a maintenance team member to operate and maintain power equipment and assist with site maintenance duties across the casino campus. This role requires reading safety rules, basic math, and the ability to respond to guests and employee inquiries.

The position is on-site with varied weather, exposure to fumes, high noise levels, and tasks including snow removal and landscape work. A valid driver's license is required; bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains power equipment and vehicles in a safe manner.
• Picks up and empties trash around property including parking garage.
• Assists with trash disposal and recycling programs.
• Snow removal for casino grounds and related areas.
• Assists with road/ exterior tasks such as signage and power washing.
• Placing stone and rocks in drainage areas as needed.
• Removes dead trees and clears brush.
• Assists maintenance team inside buildings with repairs.
• Other maintenance duties as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains power equipment and vehicles in a safe manner to include pickup trucks, street sweepers, forklift, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, leaf blowers, power washer etc.
• Picks up trash and empties trash receptacles around property, including parking garage.
• Assists with site trash disposal and recycling programs, including maintenance of trash disposal areas.
• Becomes an essential member of the casino snow removal team. Must be available for ice and snow removal activities.
• Assist tasks related to roads or outside areas of the casino as needed such as installing signage, power washing exterior of buildings, parking garage walls and floors, entrances, etc.
• Places stone and rocks in drainage areas and set up stone landscape areas, as necessary.
• Removes dead trees and limbs, clears brush and debris, as necessary.
• Assists the maintenance team inside the buildings with repairs and maintenance to the casino, as necessary.
• Assists with other activities or staff maintenance duties as directed by the management team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED; or equivalent work experience that demonstrates qualities of sound judgment and dependability; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules.
• Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from employees and guests.
• Multilingual, preferred.
• Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.
• Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, oral, etc.).
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
