Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Landscaper I in Florida to provide landscape maintenance support on commercial properties. You will perform basic landscaping tasks under supervision and help operate commercial equipment with safety in mind.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, pruning, planting, mulching, weeding, and maintaining plant materials. Applicants should be 18+ with dependable attitudes and willingness to learn proper equipment use.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• Enthusiastic and dependable
• Ability to safely operate equipment like power saws and cutters
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower)
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using various-sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using gas-powered edger/trimmer and blower
• Prune shrubs and low trees to shape growth or remove damage
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds
• Operate edger/line trimmer along sidewalks, beds, trees, buildings, fences
• Pick up trash and blow leaves and debris onto turf before mowing
• Mulch leaves and organic matter when mowing
• Weed by hand or with hoe
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment
• Remove trash, dead plants, and suckers from landscape
• Maintain polite, friendly demeanor with guests
• Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader
