Job summary

Bienville Basin Apartments in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of community models and vacant readies, and to support public access areas used by current and prospective residents.

The role involves performing thorough cleaning, trash removal, and coordination with maintenance staff. The position requires weekend availability and physical stamina to handle lifting and outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends and extended hours.
• Physically able to lift up to 125 pounds.
• Ability to operate a pressure washer for exterior use.

Responsibilities

• Cleans office, public access areas, and models as directed (moppings, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal).
• Cleans apartments after move-out or vacant units to prep for new residents.
• Keeps model units and public access areas clean and maintained.
• Monitors and reports inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Removes trash and debris from trash compactor and dumpster areas.
• Maintains the housekeeping storage room.
• Reports maintenance concerns or repairs in unoccupied areas to the Property Manager.
• Assists maintenance staff and other staff as needed.
