Job summary

Simpson Housing is seeking a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Assistant for The Madison Apartment Homes in Henrico, VA. You will maintain grounds, assist with lawn and sprinkler maintenance, help with make-readies, and provide excellent resident service.

This full-time, day-shift position offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.00–$21.20, plus benefits and a supportive team culture recognized as a Best Workplace by USA TODAY. Prior maintenance or labor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of basic maintenance and/or general labor experience preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains property grounds and buildings to ensure curb appeal.
• Assists in lawn and landscape maintenance including sprinklers.
• Removes snow from walkways.
• Assists maintenance team with apartment make-readies, painting, and touch-ups.
• Delivers superior customer service and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

Groundskeeper/Maintenance Assistant -The Madison Apartment Homes (a premier class A 506-unit garden-style community located in the Short Pump neighborhood and across from Short PumpTown Center) – Henrico, VA.

As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring your property maintains exceptional curb appeal by keeping the grounds and buildings clean and properly maintained
• Assisting in lawn and landscape maintenance including repair/adjustment of sprinklers
• Removing snow from walkways
• Assisting maintenance team members with apartment make-readies including painting and touch-up
• Delivering superior customer service and exemplifying professionalism at all times

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years ofbasic maintenance and/or general labor experience preferred
• Strong customer service orientation required

Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.20 per hour

This pay range is approximate and the actual pay received may vary dependent upon certain factors such as related job experience, education, training, professional/industry certifications, etc. Please note this pay range does not include any additional compensation this position may be eligible for as listed above, such as commissions or bonuses.
