Job Description

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the site grounds. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, leaf removal, and weather-related duties such as snow removal, which may vary seasonally.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain and improve facility grounds following sustainability guidelines.
2. Implement landscaping designs to meet needs.
3. Perform tasks like planting, mowing, weeding, fertilizing, sweeping, raking, salting, shoveling snow, and ice removal.
4. Operate equipment such as power mowers, saws, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and sprayers.
5. Operate trucks, tractors, and attachments for grounds maintenance as needed.
6. Clean and maintain sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots.
7. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on lawn equipment and tools.
8. Follow all safety policies and report malfunctions immediately.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping or horticulture preferred.
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of groundskeeping principles and power landscape equipment.

• Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements.

This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
