Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Groundskeeper Lead in Hawaii to maintain and improve the grounds of the property. The role involves operating grounds maintenance equipment, watering and pruning, and assisting in training and scheduling grounds staff.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience, plus safety training certifications. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in a team environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas (sidewalks, parking lots, planters).
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable systems.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges.
• Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds equipment (mowers, tractors, etc.).
• Provide work direction and assistance to grounds staff as directed by Supervisor.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Assist in training and scheduling staff as needed.

Title:Groundskeeper LeadJob Description:Job OverviewThe Groundskeeper Lead will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment, and will provide some work direction to groundskeeping staff.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds featuresGather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materialsWater and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systemsPrune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipmentRake, mulch, and compost leavesOperate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning sawsComply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.Stops at risk behaviors of others and selfRespond to trouble calls and cleans up spillsProvide work direction and assistance to grounds team as directed by SupervisorAssist in training and scheduling staff as neededTrach equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairMaintain daily upkeep of assigned areasReport incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisorMonitor employees proper use pf personal protective equipment and suppliesPerform quality, service, and safety inspectionsOperate motorized cleaning equipmentOther duties as assignedQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
