Job summary

HES is seeking a Groundskeeper in Junction City, KS to maintain landscapes for educational facilities. You will perform mowing, trimming, planting, watering, and seasonal maintenance, while ensuring safety and efficiency across the site.

Responsibilities include truck prep, equipment handling, snow removal, and daily upkeep of grounds features. The role requires good communication, reliability, and ability to work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Groundskeepers perform mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, snow removal, and sprinkler work.
• Prepare trucks for the day, load gear, secure equipment.
• Operate mowers, tractors, snow blowers, saws, and other landscaping tools.
• Provide upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, and grounds features.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain lawn areas to client specifications.
• Trim, prune and edge around beds, walks and walls.
• Shovel snow, spread salt, and perform seasonal maintenance.
• Repair and maintain grounds equipment and tools.
• Assist with planting and installation of flowers and shrubs.
