Massachusetts Department of Public Health seeks a Groundskeeper II to care for hospital grounds, including lawns, trees, shrubs and beds. The role also assists tradespeople on indoor projects, supporting facilities maintenance.

Ideal candidates have lawn management experience, can work independently or within teams, and may be required to cover nights, weekends or holidays based on needs. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping or park maintenance.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

Responsabilités

• Trims, prunes, weeds, and maintains flowers, grass and shrub areas.
• Maintains lawns through seeding, watering, weeding and fertilizing.
• Assists with snow removal using snow plows, shovels and sanders.
• Keeps grounds clean by picking up trash and cleaning drains or basins.
• Provides on-the-job training to assigned workers and monitors activities.
• Performs minor repairs to sidewalks and roadways.
