Job summary

The City of Irving is hiring for a grounds/maintenance position focused on irrigation, mowing and landscape care. The role requires operating various mowing machinery, front end loaders and tractors, along with regular maintenance of athletic fields and related facilities.

Two years of related experience are required and a valid Class C Texas driver’s license is mandatory. The position may involve some weekend work and basic reading/writing proficiency is expected for job performance.

Job description

Summary

Duties include working on and repairing irrigation equipment; operating various types of mowing machinery, front end loaders and utility tractors. Assigned duties will also include performing all levels of landscape maintenance; pruning trees and shrubs; maintaining athletic fields of a wide variety; and may include cleaning restrooms and inspecting playgrounds. Must also be available to work some weekends; be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance; and have a valid Class C Texas driver's license. Two years of related experience required.

PAY GRADE GG12 / FULL PAY RANGE $19.80 - $27.92 PER HOUR
