City of Irving is seeking a Parks Maintenance worker to care for city parks, athletic fields, and corridors, including mowing, edging, bed care, turf work, litter removal, and restroom cleaning.
Responsibilities also include repairs to park structures, irrigation upkeep, chemical applications, and operating a range of equipment such as mowers, tractors, ATVs, blowers, trimmers, and edgers. A Class C license is required and CDL is beneficial.
Responsibilities: Maintain city parks, corridors, and athletic fields, including mowing, edging, flower bed care, turf maintenance, field preparation, litter pickup, and restroom cleaning. Perform general repairs and basic maintenance of park structures, assist with irrigation system upkeep, and apply chemicals. Operate equipment such as walk‑behind mowers, riding mowers, tractors, ATVs, backpack blowers, string trimmers, and edgers.
Qualifications: Six months of related experience required. Must be able to read and write at a level necessary for job performance and hold a valid Class C Texas driver’s license; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is beneficial.
Work Schedule: Days and scheduled hours may vary.
Compensation: Pay Grade GG10 / Full Pay Range $17.86 - $25.18 per hour
