Job summary

Clovis Community College is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to perform outdoor care and system upkeep. The role involves operating lawn equipment, mowing, trimming, irrigation monitoring, and basic repairs to sprinklers and related infrastructure.

Must have at least one year of maintenance experience with sprinkler systems, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a hands-on assessment. The position requires flex hours and a commitment to campus safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in maintenance and repair of Rain Bird or similar sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge on mowing/landscaping using industrial equipment.
• Candidate must be able to pass a hands-on assessment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as lawn mowers, spreaders, aerators, tractors.
• Mow grass and edge sidewalks around trees and shrubs.
• Keep sidewalks and parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Plant and trim trees, bushes and flowers.
• Fertilize grass, trees and shrubs.
• Shred grass and weeds in fields.
• Remove dead trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Assist with irrigation monitoring, inspection, installation and repairs.
• Read landscaping and irrigation blueprints.
• Repair, replace and remove sprinkler components.
