Job summary

Homestead Village in Lancaster, PA is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Groundskeeper to maintain our outdoor spaces from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or holidays for snow removal duties.

Candidates must have a valid PA driver’s license, be honest, dependable and safety-conscious, able to work with minimal supervision, and comfortable operating equipment such as mowers, tractors, and snow removal tools to keep our community safe, clean and welcoming for residents

Qualifications

Valid PA Driver's License, within good standing.
Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Must be honest, dependable, & safety conscious
Must be able to complete tasks with little or no supervision
Ability to take direction in handling equipment in the performance of job duties

Responsibilities

Operate equipment required for landscaping projects & mowing.
Understand and apply basic rules of safety.
Perform individualized assignments according to schedules.
Perform minor repairs to equipment maintaining in good working order.
Be flexible, receptive, and adaptive to change.
Work cooperatively and productively with co-workers.
Provide feedback to supervisor on areas that need improvement
Constantly able to grasp, carry, and manipulate objects such as weed whacker, shovel, broom, hoe, rake, and wheelbarrow.
Push/Pull up to 100lb items such as tractor implements & salt.
Stoop, bend, and squat as required to reach the ground in wedding and in the performance of equipment repairs.
