Job summary

SSC Services For Education seeks a Grounds/Facilities worker for the Jasper County School District in Ridgeland, SC. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with pay ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour and same-day pay.

Responsibilities include maintaining lawns and plants, trimming and pruning, cleaning, and basic janitorial tasks while reporting issues to the Maintenance Supervisor. A valid Non-CDL Class C license is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Non‑CDL Class C driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Inspects common areas and reports deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Inspects exterior of the property and grounds; reports deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Mows lawns weekly during the proper season and cleans landscaping tools after use.
• Trims bushes to maintain a neat appearance and desired shape.
• Weeds flowerbeds weekly or more often if needed.
• Shovels exterior walkways during wintery weather and salts or sands icy walkways as needed.
• Contributes to the team and maintains professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Details

Location: Jasper County School District – 10942 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, Ridgeland, SC 29936 (openings available at other district locations).
Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay range: $17.00–$19.00 per hour. Same‑day pay is offered.

Job Summary

Plains and administers a program of grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and continued propagation through plants and cuttings. Responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the care of grasses and plants, trimming, pruning, and removing scrubs, bushes and trees. Performs general janitorial duties, property inspections, landscaping and grounds maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one‑on‑one attention to detail.
• Inspects common areas and reports deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Inspects exterior of the property and grounds; reports deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Mows lawns weekly during the proper season. Cleans landscaping tools and equipment after each use.
• Trims bushes to maintain a neat appearance and desired shape.
• Weeds flowerbeds weekly or more often if needed.
• Shovels exterior walkways during wintery weather; salts or sands icy walkways as needed.
• Contributes to the team; facilitates good customer interactions; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others with whom there is contact.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
