Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC seeks experienced Gardeners for upcoming contract work at two federal medical facilities in Montgomery and Tuskegee, Alabama. Pay includes base hourly wage plus health and welfare, with comprehensive safety and compliance requirements.

The role requires hands-on grounds maintenance, outdoor work in extreme conditions, and adherence to federal regulations, including a Real ID and security checks for access to military installations.

Qualifications

• Valid Real ID is required.
• Minimum 3 years in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or gardening.
• Experience operating landscaping equipment including blowers, push mowers, weed trimmers, and hedge trimmers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work outdoors in temperatures over 100°F.
• Must pass a drug test and comprehensive background check for access to a military installation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaped areas, lawns, and exterior grounds at federal facilities.
• Use blowers to clean parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and exterior areas.
• Collect and dispose of trash from outdoor receptacles.
• Perform weed trimming and vegetation control as needed.
• Install pine straw, mulch, and prepare flower beds for seasonal planting and maintenance.
• Remove leaves and debris from sidewalks, roadways, lawns, and other exterior surfaces.
• Mow grass with push mowers and other landscaping equipment.
• Trim hedges and ornamental landscaping to maintain a professional appearance.
• Work safely with landscaping tools following established safety procedures.
