The Groundskeeper is responsible for performing technical duties in the maintenance of campus grounds.
Grounds maintenance work is done outdoors in all weather conditions.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the work can be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and shoveling. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate grounds equipment and tools. Repetitive use of wrists and/or hands and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 4:30 pm and Friday, 8 am until 12 pm. Depending on the needs of the college a Monday through Thursday schedule of four ten hours days may be approved. This position occasionally requires longer hours.
Travel to other campus locations is required, as needed.
