WinnCompanies is seeking a Groundskeeper for Sunset Gardens, a 330-unit affordable housing community in Houston, TX. The role involves landscaping, grounds maintenance, and basic upkeep to meet ownership expectations.

The position pays $17.00 per hour with a typical schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Candidates should have strong customer service skills and be able to perform physical tasks.

• Availability for on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds by planting, fertilizing, and watering flowers; edging and weeding flower beds; installing mulch; and pruning shrubs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on grounds equipment, such as trimmers, edgers, and lawn mowers.
• Water the grass and flowers by moving hoses around the property, according to the property water plan.
• Keep the grounds clean by picking up paper, emptying trash receptacles, and sweeping the parking lot and walkways.
• Assist in inclement weather with snow and ice removal.
• Perform assigned indoor work during inclement weather.
• Perform special assignments as needed or requested by Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
