Job summary

The Department of Parks & Recreation in Norfolk, VA seeks a Groundskeeper Crew Leader to supervise ground maintenance, keep logs for equipment use and servicing, and coordinate emergency response. You will lead daily crews, plan tasks, train employees and temporary workers, ensure safety, and maintain safe, clean, and well-kept grounds and landscaping for city facilities and events.

CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license are required; preferred are Class B CDL and pesticide

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping with supervisory or lead duties.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and operate basic machinery.
• Valid driver\'s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train crew on grounds maintenance.
• Plan and schedule maintenance tasks.
• Oversee emergency response and safety procedures.
