Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior appearance of our building and grounds. The role includes lawn care, debris removal, and safe operation of maintenance equipment, with emphasis on safety protocols and timely completion of tasks.

The position emphasizes customer service and teamwork, requiring use of handheld tools and adherence to OSHA/EPA guidelines. Schedule and compensation reflect a full-time, non-exempt status with benefits and potential travel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower and others.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition.
• May be required to assist in the loading and unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise.
• Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
