L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is seeking a full-time maintenance worker to perform grounds maintenance, equipment repairs and seasonal outdoor tasks. The role requires CDL-A endorsement and pesticide license within 90 days and includes winter snow removal and athletic field upkeep.

Typical hours are 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with a 40-hour workweek; salary is hourly in the US market range. Socks etc.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect equipment to identify parts needed.
• Perform grounds maintenance: mow lawns, trim plants, fertilize, patch pavement.
• Remove snow and ice from roadways and walkways in winter.
• Apply lawn disease/insect control with valid pesticide license.
• Assist as day or head custodian when required.
• Maintain seasonal grounds work and minor equipment repairs.
• Prepare athletic fields and maintain facilities (dugouts, bleachers, courts).
• Inspect playgrounds and report repairs; empty playground trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
• CDL-A endorsement and pesticide license must be obtained within 90 days.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Examinesequipmentneedingrepairtodeterminepartsnecessary.
• Performsgeneralgroundsmaintenanceatassignedbuildings,mowslawns,trimsandprunesbushesandtrees, applyfertilizer and removal of leaves. Patching of cement, blacktop areas.
• Removessnowandicefromroadways,parkinglotsandassignedwalkwaysduringthewinterseason.
• Sprayingforlawndiseaseandinsectscontrolprovidingemployeehasproperpesticidelicenseandendorsements.
• May serve as additional custodial help such as day custodian or head custodian when needed and as assigned.
• Maintainseasonalgroundswork(snow,lawn)withinassignedboundariesofHeadCustodianandperformminormaintenanceandrepairtoequipment,asassigned.
• Prepares and maintains athletic fields such as mowing, prepping, stripping, chalking, repairing fence lines, adding ballfield mixes, dragging, aerating, weeding etc. Maintains dugouts, bleachers, tennis courts and other athletic areas as directed.
• Checks playgrounds and makes minor repairs of equipment. Advises supervisor of playground repairs and needs. Checks and repairs PIP playgrounds surfacing. Empties trash cans in the playground area.
• Other duties as assigned.
• CDL-A endorsement and Pesticide license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
