Job summary

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is seeking a full-time grounds and maintenance worker to support district facilities. The role runs 40 hours per week, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., performing lawn care, repair readiness, and general custodial tasks across multiple buildings.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, snow and ice removal in winter, and assisting with athletic field prep. A CDL-A endorsement and Pesticide license must be obtained within 90 days of hire; benefits include PTO, vacation,

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment needing repair to determine parts.
• Perform general grounds maintenance at assigned buildings; mow lawns, trim and prune bushes.
• Remove snow and ice from roadways, parking lots during winter.
• Spray for lawn diseases and insects; ensure pesticide license and endorsements.
• May serve as day or head custodian when needed.
• Maintain seasonal grounds work within boundaries and perform minor equipment maintenance.
• Prepare athletic fields; maintain dugouts, bleachers, courts and other athletic areas.
• Check playgrounds and perform minor repairs; report needs.
• CDL-A endorsement and Pesticide license must be obtained within 90 days.
