Job summary

The Ohio State University invites applications for a Groundskeeper 1 in the Administration and Planning / FOD Operations Landscape Roads and Grounds. Under direct supervision, you will perform routine, unskilled grounds maintenance tasks and support the landscape team on a first shift.

The position may require shift changes, overtime, 24-hour emergency call, and a background check. A high school diploma or GED and a valid Ohio driver license are required.

Qualifications

• At least one month of grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid Ohio driver license and satisfactory driving record.
• May be required to meet safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, perform routine, unskilled grounds maintenance tasks.
• Work primarily first shift within Facilities Operations and Development Landscape Services; shifts may change.
• May work overtime and be subject to 24-hour emergency call.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check may be required.
