Job summary

Bismarck Radisson Hotel is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the property's outdoor spaces. The role involves planting, trimming, mowing, and keeping sidewalks clear, while operating lawn equipment and following safety policies.

Ideal candidates should be at least 18, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and possess a valid driver’s license. Experience in landscape maintenance is preferred and the position requires outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and other shifts.
• Prior experience in landscape maintenance preferred.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of lawn care equipment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plant flowers, shrubs and other vegetation as required.
• Trim trees, shrubs and other vegetation and dispose of clippings.
• Mow and trim grassy resort areas as defined by contract.
• Plow and/or sweep sidewalks as necessary.
• Maintain and operate lawn mowers, edgers, trimmers, etc.
• Care for vegetation including fertilization, trimming, pruning, transplanting, planting.
• Follow safety, risk management and environmental policies for Groundskeeper.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of assigned property grounds.

PRE-REQUISITES:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to frequently bend/stoop and occasionally squat, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and other shifts as necessary.
• Prior experience landscape maintenance preferred.
• Posses a valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of lawn care equipment including use and maintenance.
• Physical ability to complete tasks including ability to push lawn mower, load clippings, ascend and descend ladders.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including summer heat and winter storms.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Through the training process and your current experience, the following skills and abilities are required to successfully perform this job:

• Plant flowers, shrubs and other vegetation as required.
• Trim trees, shrubs and other vegetation as required and properly dispose of clippings.
• Mow and trim grassy resort areas as defined by contract.
• Plow and/or sweep sidewalks as necessary.

• Follow all applicable safety, risk management and environmental policies and procedures as related to the Groundskeeper position.
