Job summary

Legend Management Group is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the community's curb appeal, including grounds, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots and common areas. The role requires a rotating weekend schedule and reports to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities include trash removal, unit make-ready, cleaning, basic repairs, safety, inspections, lighting, and communication with residents. A valid driver’s license and 1+ year groundskeeping experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of groundskeeping experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, use ladders and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash from office, common areas and community.
• Assist in evictions and make-ready of market-ready units.
• Clean available apartments and models.
• Troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
• Report maintenance concerns for repairs in apartments, models, clubhouse and common areas.
• Check and replace exterior lighting and maintain safety precautions.
• Complete Monthly Building/Grounds Inspection Report.
• Water plant material/flowers and maintain landscaping.
• Paint curbs, signposts, fences and playground equipment.
• Remove debris and litter from grounds and dumpster areas.
• Maintain inventory of grounds equipment and supplies.
• Assist in storm damage response and snow removal.

Job description

Legend Management Group is a 100% fully COVID-19 vaccinated company and has a mandatory vaccination policy in place.

As our Groundskeeper, you will upkeep the beauty of the community to maintain its curb appeal. You will upkeep grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and community buildings. You will work a rotating schedule including weekends. You will report to the Service Manager.

Salary Range: $19-$22/hour with $5,000 annual bonus potential

You Will:

• Remove trash from office, common areas and community
• Help with evictions
• Assist in the preparation of market ready units including remove trash from vacant apartments to make-ready
• Assist in the cleaning of available apartments and or models
• Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas
• Check and replace exterior lighting
• Maintain awareness of proper safety precautions
• Complete Monthly Building/Grounds Inspection Report
• Inspect and water plant material/flowers to ensure health and longevity
• Paint curbs, signposts, playground equipment, fences, and other items that relate to grounds persons tasks
• Remove debris/litter/pet waste on the ground and all areas including apartments and dumpster areas
• Help maintain inventory control and upkeep of all grounds equipment and supplies
• Maintain fences, gates, gutters, downspouts, retaining walls, sump pumps, playground equipment
• Help with any emergency maintenance including storm damage and snow removal
• Remove and bring appliances to shop and to apartments
• Distribute resident communications to resident’s homes

You Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License & Vehicle
• 1+ years of groundskeeping experience
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, use ladders and work in varying weather conditions
