Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain exterior areas, assist in lighting maintenance, and support the team with everyday duties. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of grounds keeping or related experience.

You must be 21+, able to obtain a gaming license, and proficient with Microsoft Office. The salary starts at up to $18.00 per hour with a 7:00 am - 3:30 pm shift.

• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.

Responsibilities

• Performs general grounds keeping work to maintain facility grounds including garages, walkways, lots and roads.
• Cleans and maintains exterior areas and power washes as assigned.
• Performs snow and ice removal and treatment when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

As a Groundskeeper, you will:

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour (BOE) | Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

• Performs general Grounds keeping work necessary to maintain facility grounds which also may include garages, walkways, lots and roads; assists in the maintenance of exterior lighting; and provides routine support duties to higher level staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment.
• Cleans and maintains all aspects of the exterior areas.
• Power washes exterior areas as assigned in a variety of areas that include patios and sidewalks; performs snow and ice removal and treatment when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum two (1) year of experience in grounds keeping, exterior cleaning and/or maintenance experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you reside. In addition to the pre-employment background check, this position will be subject to periodic checks of your driving record to determine your continued suitability to drive company and/or patron vehicles.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
• Knowledge of building management systems strongly preferred.
