Job summary

Hollywood Casino & Hotel is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain exterior areas, assist in exterior lighting, and support the team in keeping the property inviting and safe for guests and employees.

You will power wash walkways and patios, remove snow and ice, and perform related duties. The shift runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Applicants must be 21+, able to obtain a gaming license, and able to read and write English.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum two (1) year of experience in grounds keeping, exterior cleaning and/or maintenance experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you reside.

Responsibilities

• Performs general Grounds keeping work to maintain facility grounds, including garages, walkways, lots and roads; assists in exterior lighting maintenance; supports higher level staff; and performs related tasks.
• Cleans and maintains all exterior areas.
• Power washes exterior areas and patios; handles snow and ice removal as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour (BOE) | Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

• Cleans and maintains all aspects of the exterior areas.
• Power washes exterior areas as assigned in a variety of areas that include patios and sidewalks; performs snow and ice removal and treatment when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum two (1) year of experience in grounds keeping, exterior cleaning and/or maintenance experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you reside. In addition to the pre-employment background check, this position will be subject to periodic checks of your driving record to determine your continued suitability to drive company and/or patron vehicles.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
• Knowledge of building management systems strongly preferred.
