Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking a Houseperson to support housekeeping operations and guest room upkeep. You will stock supplies, assist with linen delivery, report maintenance needs and keep areas clean and orderly across the property.

The role demands active physical work, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and effective communication with guests and coworkers. Starting pay ranges with an amenity fee, reflecting shift times and local policies.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Working environment subject to varying noise levels depending on volume.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees.
• Ability to clean and replenish soft and hard supplies.
• Ability to move from floor to floor as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of housekeeping practices and procedures.
• Ability to communicate in English and understand directions.

Responsibilities

• Stock housekeeping supplies and linen and deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms.
• Report maintenance needs and service issues as needed.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures, vacuum, mop, sweep, shampoo carpets, clean/wax floors, dispose of trash and empty ashtrays.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects as needed (mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.).

As a Houseperson, you will:

Pay: $16.00 + Amenity Fee ($1.00 - $2.00) per hour | 9:30am-6:00pm or 11:00am-7:00pm

• Stock housekeeping supplies and linen and deliver housekeeping related items to guest rooms.
• Report all maintenance needs and service issues as needed.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures, vacuum, mop, sweep, shampoo carpets, clean/wax floors, remove and dispose of trash and empty ashtrays.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.) as needed.

Physical Demands

This position will require you to be standing during the duration of your shift. In this role, you can expect to use your hands, crouch, kneel, and be physically active throughout your shift. Our hotel team must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
