A Day in the Life of a Groundskeeper

As a Groundskeeper, you will assist in inspecting and maintaining the property, ensuring grounds, buildings, and equipment are attractive, safe, and functional. Your responsibilities include cleaning and removing trash, obstacles, and debris from grounds, parking lots, roads, amenity areas, plant beds, breezeways, stairwells, and dumpster areas. Maintenance tasks include groundskeeping, painting, exterior repairs, landscaping, and irrigation. You will also clean and maintain pools and pool equipment according to the schedule set by the maintenance supervisor. Safety is a priority; report hazards and assist in their correction promptly. You take pride in the appearance of the grounds, buildings, and units.

Groundskeeper Qualifications

• Availability to work as scheduled and as needed
• Drug-free
• Ability to operate electrical and gas-powered equipment, including pool and spa pumps, edgers, blowers, power washers, and compactors
