Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our luxury resort team in San Diego. You will perform routine labor, maintain golf course and landscape areas, operate light equipment, and support daily operations to uphold our five-star standards.

The ideal candidate communicates in English, can drive, and physical stamina for outdoor work in varied weather. Competitive hourly wage with benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Operates light motorized equipment in mowing greens, tees, aprons, around trees and hillsides.
• Cleans and edges cart-paths; edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates light motorized carts for transportation and material hauling.
• maintains fuel and fluid levels; reports equipment problems.
• Returns equipment cleaned to designated maintenance facility.
• Collects litter and assists in project work including soil preparation and sod laying.
• Participates in annual over-seeding of grass areas.
• May operate additional light equipment as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Performs routine labor and operates light motorized equipment involved in daily golf course and landscape maintenance and construction; and performs related work as required.

• Operates light motorized equipment in mowing greens, tees, aprons, around trees, banks, and hillsides; cleans and edges cart-paths; edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates light motorized carts for transportation and material hauling.
• Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; reports equipment problems or failure to the Equipment Manager immediately.
• Returns all equipment cleaned to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and cleans all maintenance areas.
• Collects litter.
• Helps in project work, grades and prepares soil base, lays sod, excavates and backfills tranches.
• Participates in annual over-seeding of grass areas.
• May be asked to operate mowers, tractors, or other light equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.

Wage Information
