Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego invites applications for a Groundskeeper to maintain the resort's golf course and landscapes. You will operate light equipment, edge cart paths, and assist in soil prep, overseeding, and sod installation, contributing to the resort’s pristine outdoor spaces.

Ideal candidates communicate well in English, possess driving skills, and can work outdoors in varied weather, lifting up to 50 lbs and occasionally operating heavier machinery.

Responsibilities

• Collect litter.
• Assist in soil preparation, sod laying, and trench backfilling.
• Participate in annual overseeding.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality atFairmont Grand Del Mar, as our new Groundskeeper.

Responsibilities

Performs routine labor and operates light motorized equipment involved in daily golf course and landscape maintenance and construction; and performs related work as required.

• Operates light motorized equipment in mowing greens, tees, aprons, around trees, banks, and hillsides; cleans and edges cart-paths; edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates light motorized carts for transportation and material hauling.
• Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; reports equipment problems or failure to the Equipment Manager immediately.
• Returns all equipment cleaned to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and cleans all maintenance areas.
• Collects litter.
• Helps in project work, grades and prepares soil base, lays sod, excavates and backfills tranches.
• Participates in annual over-seeding of grass areas.
• May be asked to operate mowers, tractors, or other light equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.

Wage Information

The hourly rate for this position is $21.19.
