Job summary

Stonemark Management in Decatur is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper to maintain the community grounds and keep exteriors, common areas, and sidewalks clean and safe.

The role requires working outdoors in all weather, performing physically demanding tasks, and lifting up to 50 lbs. weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of groundskeeper experience preferred but not required.
• General property maintenance skills (painting, pressure washing, trash pick-up) preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions (stooping, bending, kneeling).

Responsibilities

• Picks up litter on grounds and waters lawns, shrubs and flowers as needed.
• Sprays insecticides as required.
• Maintains watering and drainage systems.

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining the community grounds in an attractive condition; keeping exteriors, common areas, vacant apartments, sidewalks, and alleyways clean and safe.

Job Responsibilities

• Picks up litter on grounds and waters lawns, shrubs and flowers as needed.
• Sprays insecticides as required.
• Maintains watering and drainage systems.
• Assists in inventory control and upkeep of all grounds equipment and supplies.
• Assists with emergency maintenance and make‑readies.

• Assists with other types of maintenance when necessary.

Requirements

One year of experience as a groundskeeper preferred but not required. General property maintenance skills (painting, pressure washing, trash pick‑up, etc.) preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., perform repetitive stooping, bending and kneeling motions. Must be available to work weekends and holidays when needed. Strong organizational and make‑ready skills.

Must submit to a background check and drug testing.
