Job summary

Golfview Village Apartments in Rantoul, IL is seeking a Groundskeeper for a full-time seasonal position on-site. The role focuses on curb appeal and exterior maintenance across the property, with hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Wednesday 6:30am to 3:30pm. This seasonal role may extend to permanent for the right candidate.

Pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. A physical demonstration of duties will be required during the interview.

Qualifications

• 6 months groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate landscape equipment.
• General irrigation knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• Able to work in hot or cold seasonal weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property landscape and exterior areas for curb appeal.
• Clean driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, exterior hallways.
• Maintain flowerbeds, plants and grass areas.
• Snow removal when required.
• On-call for snow removal.

Golfview Village Apartments is actively interviewing for a full time Groundskeeper to immediately join our team. This full time seasonal role is a great way to build your skillsets and earn some money in time for the holiday season!

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Wednesday 6:30am to 3:30pm. (This is a seasonal role estimated to last a few months but may turn into a permanent position for the right individual)

The Groundskeeper is responsible for “Curb Appeal” the overall upkeep of the property landscape and the exterior image. Duties include cleaning of the driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, exterior hallways, or any other public areas; maintenance of property flowerbeds, plants, and grass areas; snow removal. (This role is oncall for snow removal)

What we need from you:

• Previous Groundskeeping/Landscaping – 6 months preferred
• Ability to safely operate landscape equipment
• General irrigation knowledge or willing to learn preferred
• Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
• Ability to work in seasonal weather (heat and/or cold)

What we are offering:

$16.00 to $17.00 per hour

A physical demonstration of your ability to complete the basic job duties will be required during the interview process.

This role requires pre-employment screenings that include a criminal background check and drug screening.
