Lees-McRae College is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the campus grounds, perform landscaping tasks, and assist in keeping facilities safe and presentable. The role includes mowing, weed whacking, snow removal, and light repair of equipment, with proper PPE required.
The position is full-time, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on-site in Banner Elk, NC, with occasional evenings or weekend duties. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
Groundskeeper reports to Grounds Supervisor and assists in the physical upkeep of the college facilities grounds.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Strenuous physical activity. Grounds workers are required to move around campus properties and work with equipment. Outside work is required during all types of weather conditions. Grounds workers must always use proper protective equipment.
This is a full-time essential worker position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. On-call work is required.
No travel is expected for this position.
